My name is Andrea Bertinetti and I am from Turin in Italy.
I am the marketing and sales support manager, a position which I have held since mid-2016 so I have been with FTI for approximately 18 months now.
My main responsibilities are to manage and implement the marketing strategies and plan across different channels – this includes directing how the FTI brand values are communicated in general. We utilise different tactics for which I am responsible including managing events, social media public relations, CRM, company website, collateral material and all other forms of marketing activity that FTI engages in. I work closely with Product Management to align product launch communication and ultimately I report back to the CEO, from where the overall business strategy originates.
I also have responsibility for managing the Sales Support team which aims to streamline the order processing and customer communication, an also to support any needs our Sales Managers have, from marketing collateral material to supporting promotions and events.
Typically my day consists of many different meetings with the internal sales supports team, our designers, 3rd party agencies and other stakeholders who directly or indirectly influence the marketing and sales functions. However, no two days are exactly the same and I could find myself variously managing an event, supervising a video production, brainstorming with others to develop the brand and product communication aspects of FTI, having conference calls with our team members and representatives in different continents (and time zones!), or even go-karting with clients on corporate entertainment days. My day usually ends at 7pm given the large workload, although things move so fast here that the time never seems to passes slowly.
My main challenges is to ensure that all the marketing activities are correctly implemented, on time and to the correct level of quality. As a brand that hold quality at the core of its values, FTI has a responsibility to ensure that our marketing and communications are of equal quality to that of our products – this is my main challenge as there are many different aspects to the marketing mix.
The team I work with are very international, with many members from different countries and representing various cultural backgrounds, and I enjoy working in an environment with such a diversity of team. Many of my colleagues have been here from when FTI opened in 2005, and the fact that so many are still here today is testament to the positive spirit and strong working environment which is part of FTI’s culture. I think this is one of the best aspects of working for FTI.
Outside of work I have many hobbies, including kite-surfing, golf, and music – I play the drum, bass and guitar. As an Italian I love Italian food, especially pasta with tomato and cream-based “pink” sauce, and I am a supporter of my hometown football club, which is Juventus of Turin.
